"The home of former Conservative MP Harvey Proctor has been searched by police investigating historical allegations of child abuse.
The BBC understands police from Operation Midland arrived at the house on the estate of Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire, on Wednesday.
The investigation is looking at claims establishment figures abused boys.
Mr Proctor, 68, denied being part of any "rent-boy ring" or attending sex parties with prominent figures.
Mr Proctor became an MP in 1979, representing Basildon in Essex for four years. He subsequently represented Billericay until resigning in 1987."

Comma, not true I'm afraid:
"King denied the charges but, in September 2001, he was found guilty, in the first of the trials, of four offences of indecent assault, one of buggery and one of attempted buggery against five boys aged 14 and 15 during the 1980s.[2][3] Two months later, he was sentenced to 7 years' imprisonment for those offences."

The state could argue that they were guilty of disobeying the rules. Can't have people taking the rules into their own hands kind of thing. Maybe the offences themselves are no longer criminal, but that doesn't change the fact that they fucked with the man, to coin an apt phrase.

Jonathan King served a jail term for what is now legal. In fact whilst he was in jail the age of homosexual consent was reduced.
He wants a pardon.
And what about the forty thousand or so men who were criminalised for adult homosexual sex, do they now get pardoned?
